I’m Heidi Hinda and my NEW magazine Writing The Revolution has been birthed as a labour of absolute love, passion, devotion, mischief, and deep-bellied desire, as a call out to you, fellow creative soul, to step more boldly into truth, beauty, power, voice, freedom & love.

Why?

Because it’s time.

As a storyteller, performer, creative life coach, book doula, nervous system trauma-informed educator & artist, and a woman who believes that life is art, the world needs our magic & deep-hearted visions, more than ever before.

Revolution is about change. Changing the status quo. Turning everything upon its head, upside down and inside out, like the Trickster archetype. It’s about standing up for what matters. Honest things such as connection, care, art, presence, delight, choice, and living so deeply embodied and empowered that we are no longer ruled by fear, but by love.

Lofty idealism?!

Maybe, baby!

And yet. Isn’t it always the artists that ignite the flame of the Revolution? The seers & mystics. The visionaries & outsiders. The music-makers & the fools. The lovers & the ones that can write the future into becoming.

That’s you that is. And me. And all of us.

We are the spell-makers of this time.

We are the ones that are dangerous.

And we’re dangerous because we know that owning our power & freedom means getting up close & personal with all of those things you mustn’t speak about.

You know those places.

The Taboos.

Desire.

The ‘not-beautiful’ places within us.

The Shadows inside our bellies.

The unreasonable parts of us.

The Erotic & the Kinky.

Writing The Revolution is a place for you to breathe out a huge sigh of relief, wriggle & jiggle your hips, put the sass back in your step, stick out your tongue, wink at shame’s bondaged henchmen, and get creatively free. Not just as an artist, but as a majestic, brilliant, divine & dirty human being.

Sound good? Yeh. I think so too!

So, why have I set this up?

Here’s the main three (always the magic number of course), reasons:

1. Most of us are full of shame for being who we are. This keeps our genius and our wonder & magic hidden from the world. I’m all about transmuting shame into freedom. It’s time for us all to shine.

2. To live as the Creative Revolution, in all areas of our lives, is kinky as fuck! It isn’t ‘the norm’ that society expects of us, or wants for us to fall in line with. Kink, Eros, owning our Pleasure & Desires, is where our power lies. It’s where we come back home to ourselves. And from here, it’s where we can create sustainable change that we wish to see.

3. We live in a world that grows from the foundational soil of so much dishonesty. To have the balls to boldly claim all of our ‘naughtiness’, messy, and imperfectly ‘wrong’ parts, we become invincible and strong, right down to the centre of our being. Then, whatever we want to grow, such as our art, relationships, community, art, and so on, is born from this place of deep integrity. This, I believe is the most revolutionary way we can live, create & love.

As we’re exploring themes such as censorship, shame, taboos, desires, pleasure & writing from the body, you will get so much out of these sessions for your own personal satisfaction and discovery, as well as them being very deliciously playful too!
